Information Sent Directly
If you use a name, phone, or address search box, the information is sent to the third-party service that supplies the results. The site operator does not keep a copy of those searches as a private resident file. If you email or otherwise contact the operator, the message and details you include are used to respond and maintain the correspondence.
Automatic Server Data
Hosting services normally record an IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamp, and basic referrer information. Those logs help keep the pages available, investigate faults, and understand traffic in aggregate. Cookies or related tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement, depending on the service configuration.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the pages, answer messages, fix technical problems, measure broad traffic, and improve the reference. The operator does not sell a visitor list or build a personal profile from ordinary page visits.
Links to Other Services
Pages link to Salt Lake County Recorder and Assessor portals, Utah Elections, Utah Courts, Utah Vital Records, Utah Historical Society, the County Library, USPS, and other services. Their privacy policies govern what a visitor submits after leaving these pages. Sponsored search tools are also third-party services.
Who May Process Data
Hosting and technical providers may process server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive automatic data described above. Information may be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. No disclosure is made merely because a person asks for another visitor’s search history.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection where supported, and logs are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by a provider’s normal operations. There are no site accounts, passwords, or resident profiles to manage here.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operator does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent information may use the Contact page to request review and deletion of information the operator controls.
Utah Consumer Rights
Utah’s Consumer Privacy Act, Utah Code sections 13-61-101 et seq., may give a qualifying consumer rights to access, correct, delete data the consumer provided to a covered business, obtain portability, and opt out of sale or targeted advertising. Covered-business thresholds and government-record exclusions apply, and the law generally provides a 45-day response period with a possible extension. Because this reference keeps little information, a request usually concerns a contact message or server log. Public records held by West Valley City, Salt Lake County, Utah courts, elections, or vital-record custodians are outside the operator’s control. Send removal requests for those records to the custodian.
